In 1979, one of the worlds most passionate purveyors of smallgoods was founded in a small Australian town. What was an institution curating some of the most unique recipes to cater for the Italian community – the antipasto connoisseurs - is now catering for all Australians. Princi continues to be driven by the same values - the love of family and community.

Pay peanuts, get monkeys. That’s not us. You see, the Princi journey is not just about packaging any meat and selling it at the lowest price. It’s impossible to achieve cheap and premium in one. And it’s also impossible for your Princi team to compromise premium just to save money. Because ultimately, the greatest cost is compromising your health. Whether it’s the highest standards in safety and hygiene, or the highest grade of meat selected, premium is our habit. You can see, smell, taste and feel it.

Supporting world class local farmers – not imported meat

Did you know that many smallgoods brands incorporate imported meat in their products? We source 100% of our meat from premium and free range Australian farms where the love of the land and care for animals is paramount. Imported meat has to be cooked and loaded with preservatives overseas, so it could comply with import laws and last the journey. This may compromise the quality of meat as well as your health. Princi meat is APIQ certified (Australian Pork Industry Quality Assurance Programme) and RSPCA certified. These farms are also Australian owned, supporting the local industry and jobs with the very best in animal welfare and processing standards. We also have a passion for putting back in to the community - to support people in need and make our planet cleaner and greener. We don’t like to tell you where or what, we just do it because we love to do it - and if you found out by chance, well that’s great. However, the boast factor is not the reason why we do it.'

Although some automation is important to deliver volumes at the highest standards, there are certain methods that we will continue to do by hand. That’s because it’s the only way to infuse love into the products that you love. For example our salami’s are hand tied and naturally air dried over a period of up to 10 weeks. We don’t like using additives that are commonly used in cheaper brands, like Glucono Delta-Lactone (E575), to speed up the fermentation process, we love nature doing its best. This naturally cured process takes longer than more modern methods of cooking or heat treating salami’s. Our more traditional methods provide the best results in distinctive taste, texture and meat integrity – you be the judge. There’s a reason why we win gold awards.

The Princi range includes an extensive Free-Range selection of Smallgoods, chemically nitrate free, as well as the traditional premium family favourites – Prosciutto, Hams, Cacciatore, Salami, Mortadella, Coppa and Pancetta.

We love our team and purpose - supporting local farmers, selecting the most premium meat and pouring happy methods, passion and commitment into our products every day. Some of our team have been with us for almost 40 years.

There used to be a perception that smallgoods were made of leftover meat and loaded with unhealthy additives. We are changing that. Princi is made with the most premium meat selection using the best methodology. You can taste the real love and happiness in Princi.

Gluten Free & Dietary Needs Friendly, No Artificial Colors or Flavours

All Princi products are gluten and dairy free, making them ideal for those who are lactose intolerant and coeliacs. With premium and principles being our passion, the Princi range are naturally free of artificial colourings, artificial flavourings and definitely no added MSG.
